Wendy Dunfee Obituary

Wendy Sue Dunfee, age 31, of Sumner, Illinois passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was born on October 11, 1990 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of James F. and Susan (Rousey) Akers.

Wendy was a traveling phlebotomist with Biodex. She attended the Sumner United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included traveling with her children, camping, going to the beach, singing, drawing, as well as spending time with her children and animals.

Preceding her in death was her mother.

Survivors include her four children, Roslynn May, Chloe May, Jacson Dunfee, and Liam Schnell; father, James F. Akers of Sumner, Illinois; five brothers, Bradley (Grace) Morehead of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Timothy (Andrea) Akers of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Charles (Lisa) Morehead of St. Francisville, Illinois, Patrick (Kristina) Akers of Newburgh, Indiana, and Michael (Danielle) Morehead of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and one sister, Shelly (Ryan) Warner of Flat Rock, Illinois.

Funeral services will be on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bridgeport City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
