Wanda J. Byers, age 89, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 25, 1926, in Bridgeport, Illinois, the daughter of William and Edna (Martin) Heath. She married Lowell M. Byers on March 31, 1945, and he died November 13, 2001.
Wanda was a homemaker. She attended New Hope Christian Church in Bridgeport.
Preceding Wanda in death were her parents, her husband Lowell, one sister, and one brother.
Survivors include a son, Gregg Byers, and his wife Sherry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and two sisters, Joan Carrell and Zelma McKeighen, both of Robinson, Illinois.
Graveside services will be Monday at 10:00 AM at Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
There is no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or to the March of Dimes.
