Wendell Edward McClure, 69, of St. Francisville, IL passed away November 14, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. Born October 16, 1940 in Bruceville, IN he was the son of Clarence and Julia (Nash) McClure. He married Ramona Kimbrel October 4, 1964 and she survives.Mr. McClure retired from Essex Wire in Vincennes, IN; he also retired from construction work. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Vincennes, IN and a member of 309 Paper Workers Union, as well as the Labor Local Union.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Charles McClure; one sister Helen Davis; and one grandson.Survivors include his wife Ramona of St. Francisville; one son Clarence Edward McClure of rural St. Francisville; six daughters Karen Lynn Black of Vincennes, Helen Leona Henderson of Marion, IL, Pamela Laureen Leasher of Effingham, IL, Julia Viola McFarland of Robinson, Andrea Sue McClure and Samantha Ann McClure both of rural St. Francisville; one brother Robert Eugene McClure of Sullivan, IN; two sisters Norma Lynch of Pensacola, FL and Carol Sue Merry of Vincennes, IN; and seven grandchildren.Funeral services will be 12:00 noon (CST) Wednesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL.Burial will be in the Billett Cemetery.Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service at 12:00 noon (CST) at the funeral home.
