Todd C. Decker

Todd C. Decker, age 61, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on May 15, 1962 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Charles Howard Decker and Doris Louise (Fuller) Decker-Dolkey. He married Jenelle Brink on October 18, 2003, and she survives.

Todd was a heavy equipment operator and a farmer. He owned and operated Decker Backhoe Service and raised cattle. He was a member of IUOE Local 841 and the Edward Dobbins Masonic Lodge. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. His family and friends will remember him being the life of the party and it never being a dull moment when he was around.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Jenelle; three daughters, Alex Forrester and husband, Michael, Madison Decker, and Jocie Decker all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Lance Decker and wife, Susan of Flat Rock, Illinois; and one granddaughter, Emily Mahrenholz.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 2:00 PM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pollard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a college fund for Jocie. Please make checks payable to Bright Directions College Savings Program, with Jocie Decker listed in the memo line.
