Shirley Dee (Neil) Stripe

Shirley Dee (Neil) Stripe, age 84, of Minneapolis, Minnesota formerly of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at The Harbors Senior Living Community of Fridley in Fridley, Minnesota. She was born on December 23, 1937 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Shirley and Waive (Goodart) Neil. She married Robert Stripe on March 09, 1956, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2009.

Dee became a Christian as a young adult and held onto her strong beliefs throughout her life. She is no doubt catching up with family and friends in her new forever home.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; grandparents, George and Maude (Hunt) Goodart and William and Rhoda (Fitch) Neil; and four siblings, Jan Wright, Dixie Ochs, Spencer Neil, and Sheila Kapper.

Survivors include her son, James Stripe and wife, Jane of Minneapolis, Minnesota and two brothers, Jack Neil and wife, Linda of Belvidere, Illinois and Troy Neil and wife, Cindy of Olney, Illinois.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:30 AM CST at the Zion Cemetery. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
