Scott Michael ‘Mike’ Reedus

Scott Michael ‘Mike’ Reedus, age 71, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, March 04, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on October 05, 1948 in Princeton, Indiana, the son of Scott C. and Goldie (Wirth) Reedus. He married Jane Litherland on October 06, 1973 and she survives.

Mike was a retired tooling engineer for Johnson Controls. He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and a co-founding member of the No Club Car Club. Mike, Jane and friends organized car shows to benefit multiple local charities. They also took his 1966 Nova SS to various events each year. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his morning breakfast buddies, as well as woodworking, traveling, antiquing, bass fishing and classic car restoration. He served on the board of the South Lawrence Water Corporation. And, he served his country in the United States Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Richard Reedus; as well as a niece and nephew.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; two daughters, Allison Snyder and husband, Chad of Greenwood, Indiana and Abbey Myers and husband, Eric of Forsyth, Illinois; one sister, Judy Delgado of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; three grandchildren, Samantha Snyder, Layla Myers, and Kale Myers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of remembrance will be on Sunday, March 08, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. A service with military rites will be conducted at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. The family requests casual dress because Mike would want you to come as you are. There will be no burial.
