Rosie Audene Roberts

Rosie Audene Roberts, age 96, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on August 05, 1925 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Rosie (Nelson) Green. She married Louis S. Roberts on November 20, 1943, and he preceded her in death on November 01, 2000.

Rosie was a homemaker. Her memberships included the West Bond Home Extension, Ladies Fellowship at church, and Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, where she had attended since she was 16 years old. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, plastic canvassing, and was an avid reader.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; three brothers, Gerald Green, Don Green, and Jonathon Green; two sisters, Darlene Stevenson and Virginia Green; one daughter-in-law, Mary Roberts; two grandchildren, Mark Allen Roberts and Chad Clem; and one great-grandchild, Camilo Servant.

Survivors include her three children, Virginia ‘Ginger’ Lewis and husband, Tom, Richard Roberts, and Vicki Clem all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two sisters, Mary Morris of Wisconsin and Barbara Loudermilk and husband, Jerry of Lawrenceville, Illinois; six grandchildren, Jamie Shidler, Scott Roberts, Becky Bellinger, Jennifer Duperon, Jeff Lewis, and Jonee Colvin; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren, with the anticipated arrival of another.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 02, 2022 at 10:00 AM CDT at the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, and may be viewed with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CDT at the church. Burial will be in the Pollard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church.
