Ralph ‘Kent’ Wolfe, age 83, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. He was born on September 18, 1938 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Rosetta (Taylor) Wolfe.
Kent was a meat cutter at Humphrey’s Meat Packing in Lawrenceville, a carpenter contractor, and manager of Barrister Inn in Lawrenceville. He served his country in the United States Air Force, during the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were his parents; six brothers, Grant Wolfe, Charlie Wolfe, Jack Wolfe, Harold Wolfe, Tommy Wolfe, and James Wolfe; and four sisters, Hilda Fielden, Mary Watkins, Joanne Gaither, and Barbara Blanchard
Survivors include two sisters, Pat Hardy of Fort Myers, Florida and Martha Holly of Cody, Wyoming; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be conducted. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
