Pat Parrott Puntney

Pat Parrott Puntney, age 90, of Vincennes, Indiana (formerly of Bridgeport, Illinois) passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at BridgePointe Health Campus in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on August 28, 1931 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Lindsay and Ruth (Carlyle) Neal.

On June 24, 1950 she married Delbert E. Parrott, Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 06, 1999. Together they had three children: Randi Menke and husband, Jim of Vincennes, Indiana, Linda Rucker and husband, Rick of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Delbert Parrott, Jr. and wife, Sabra of Sumner, Illinois. Also surviving are her 11 grandchildren: Lindsi Tiffany, Amber Newlin, Tanner Martin, Chad Rucker, Kylee McKinney, Taylor Martin, Jamie Whalen, Delbert Parrott III, Whitley Straka, Presley Albertson, and Sami Cunningham; 42 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

On October 21, 1999 she married James Fredrick ‘Fred’ Puntney, and he preceded her in death on August 07, 2012. His children are: James Puntney and wife, Nancy, John Puntney and wife, Beth, Mark Puntney, and Andrew Puntney.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lindsay and Ruth Neal; husband, Delbert Parrott, Sr.; husband, Fred Puntney; three brothers, Nathaniel Neal, Earl Neal, and Bob Neal; two sisters, Arilla Bowman and Yvonne Newport; and one daughter, Debra Parrott.

Pat was a homemaker and attended Calvary Apostolic Church. She loved dancing, and taught her children and grandchildren to do the Jitterbug. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, and cooking. She had a free spirit and loved making people laugh. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 06, 2022 at 10:30 AM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Petty Cemetery.
