Nolan A. Hatfield, 78, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born January 21, 1939 in Emison, Indiana, the son of Daniel Frances and Elva (Harper) Hatfield.
Nolan was a self-employed carpet installer for 38 years. He also owned several gas stations and semi-tractor trucks. He was a member of the Hi-Way Church of God and was an Army veteran. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Virgil Hatfield and Daniel Hatfield, Jr.; and four sisters, Ilene Hatfield, Delores Hatfield, Twila Mae Summers, and Shirley Miller.
Survivors include his three sons, Andy Hatfield and wife, Sara, of Bicknell, Indiana, Mark Hatfield of Princeton, Indiana, and Tim Hatfield of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one daughter, Tiffany Emery and husband, Craig, of Vincennes, Indiana; companion, Betty Wilbanks Shank; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 3:00 PM CST at the Hi-Way Church of God, with military rites. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM CST at the church. Following the services, at Nolan's request, his body will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nolan's memory may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
