Nathaniel D. Crawford

Nathaniel D. Crawford, 32, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at his residence.

He was born March 8, 1988 in Fort Ord, California, the son of Daniel Crawford and Trudy (Moffitt) Tester.

Nate worked at the Lawrence County, Illinois USDA Office of Natural Resources Conservation Services. He was a member of the Wesleyan Christian Church on 4th Street in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, landscaping, traveling, and being outdoors.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Trudy; paternal grandmother, Carol Crawford; and maternal grandfather, John Shidler.

Surviving are his father, Daniel Crawford and his wife, Debra of Lawrenceville, Illinois; maternal grandparents, Bonita Shidler of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Larry Moffitt of Branson, Missouri; paternal grandfather, Ronnie Crawford of Lawrenceville, Illinois; four brothers, Brady Tester, Joshua Crawford, T.J. Young, and Tyler Young; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. The service will be private, but will be available for viewing at 2:00pm on the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home Burial & Cremation Services Facebook page, which can be found with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/Emmons-Macey-Steffey-Funeral-Home-Burial-Cremation-Services-241234759332208/. Extended family and friends are invited to drive past the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm in honor of Nate and his family. Please approach the funeral home from south 12th Street, and you will be directed by staff to pass through under the awning. Burial will be at the May Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Nate may be given to the Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center and Wig Shoppe.
