Mary Reel

Mary Reel, age 92, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Fellowship Home at the Fairway in Sebring, Florida. She was born on January 18, 1928 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse and Nellie (Marcom) Adams. She married William R. Reel on March 07, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2003.

Mary was a telephone operator and then retired as a cook for the Unit #20 School System. She was a member of Modern Woodmen. She was also a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Lawrenceville, and attended services at Lakemont Ridge Park in Frostproof, Florida. She was a quilter and enjoyed any needlework.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William; two sisters, Donna Wells and Doris Rogers; and two brothers, Everett Adams and Larry Adams.

Survivors include one son, David Reel and wife, Annette of Frostproof, Florida; one daughter, Jan Wisdom and husband, Roy of Clearwater, Florida; one sister, Betty Wieand of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; two grandsons, Damien Campbell and Kyle Reel; and four great-grandsons.

There will be no formal services. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
