Louise J. Moore age 79 of Rural Bridgeport,Illinois died Friday May 20, 2011 at 6:10 p.m. at the United Methodist Village North Campus. Louise was born May 21, 1931 in Bridgeport,Illinois to Thomas Berton and Ethel Marie ( Haycock) Litherland. She married Ross A. Moore July 23, 1949 and he preceded her in death May 02, 1998. Louise and husband Ross owned and operated the Ross A. Moore Excavating Co which was established in 1957 which is known today as Moore Brothers. Louise was the bookkeeper until retirement in 1975. She was also a homemaker. She was a passionate cook, baker and candy maker. She was a member of the Bridgeport First United Methodist Church. Louise is survived by her three sons, John D. ( Trisha) Moore, Stevan J. (Pam) Moore and Jeffrey A. (Susan) Moore all of rural Bridgeport,Il. Surviving grandchildren, Stacy & Angie Moore, Troy & Angela Moore, Holly Moore & Shawn Daniel, Mike & Melisa Moore, Chris Moore & Janice Pinkstaff, Jill Moore, Eric & Mindy Fiscus and Nate Fiscus. Surviving great grandchildren, Drew & Katie Moore, Madison & Malerie Moore, Max Moore & Tanner Daniel, Riley & Ross Moore, Mason & Tukker Moore & Baelee Holloway, Morgan & Evan Fiscus. Two sister in laws survive, Mary Piper of Sumner,Il. and Lois Litherland of Bridgeport,Il. A life long friend Sheila Brandenburg of Lawrenceville,Il. along with several nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great grand daughter, Josie Ann Moore, 1 daughter in law, Ruth Ann Moore, Five brothers Ernest, Benton, Donald, Mack, Loren. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning 10:00 a.m. at the Bridgeport First United Methodist Church, in Bridgeport,Il. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville,Illinois. Burial will be in the Bridgeport City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Bridgeport First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Lawrence Co. Humane Society.
