Larry R. Pugh

Larry R. Pugh, age 76, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on July 15, 1946 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Charles Edward and Wilma (Mitchell) Pugh. He married Diana Kind on November 01, 1994, and she survives.

Larry retired from the United States Air Force, with 29 years of service. After his retirement, he worked in retail at both Walmart and Kmart in Vincennes. He attended the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. He was a member of the VFW. His hobbies included watching NASCAR Racing and Formula One Racing, as well as spending time with his family, friends, and furry companion, Sophie. In later years, he was a wonderful caregiver to Diana.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Richard Pugh.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Christina Perry and husband, Kevin of Mattoon, Illinois, Lori Parker and husband, David of Campbell, Missouri, Elizabeth Sprankle and husband, T.J. of Arbutus, Maryland, Theresa Bell and husband, Andy of Lewes, Delaware, and Beth Kind of Olney, Illinois; one sister, Diana ‘Dena’ Norris and husband, Bill of Shelburn, Indiana; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 03, 2023 at 11:00 AM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and may be viewed with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pollard Cemetery, with military rites.
