John D. Danny Meeks

John D. Danny Meeks 57, of Germantown Hills, IL (formerly of Sumner) passed away Tuesday December 7, 2010 at his residence.He was born March 15, 1953 in Atlanta, GA the son of Willie B. and Inez P. (Powell) Meeks. Danny was a member of the IBEW Local 613 in Atlanta, GA. He was an electrician for over 30 years. He served on the Sumner City Council and he was on the Sumner Flood Committee. He is survived by his mother: Inez P. Meeks of Conyers, GA, a son: Christopher Meeks of Gulfport, MS, a sister: Linda Keene of Conyers, GA, best friend: Lisa (husband Mark) Ward of East Peoria, IL, and several nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 2:00pm at the Beulah United Methodist Church in Sumner, IL. Private burial was conducted.
