Obituary

Jenetta R. Wallace, age 89, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born on February 10, 1934 in Van, Texas, the daughter of Roy G. and Bertie Helen (Moore) Sweeten.

Jenetta was an occupational and rehabilitation aide at the United Methodist Village, and a landscaper and interior designer at the Executive Inn. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Her hobbies included crocheting, taking care of her house plants, dancing, listening to country and gospel music, caring for multiple family members, and being with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Roy Sweeten, Jr. and Jim Sweeten; and three sisters, Peggy Fahr, Phyllis Straugh, and Janice White.

Survivors include two sons, John Tetidrick and wife, Susie and David Tetidrick and wife, Sheri all of Brazil, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Joshua David Tetidrick, Jacob Daniel Tetidrick, James Nathaniel Tetidrick, Jeremie Tetidrick, Any Morgan, Megan Lucas, Cameron Provines, Kevin Mertz, and Ashley Fuqua; and several great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to recognize Jenetta’s niece, Lou Bean and great-niece, Sarah Daugherty for their love, care, and attention for their mother over the years.

There will be no formal services conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
