James W. 'Hiem' Madding

James W. ‘Hiem’ Madding, age 74, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. He was born on March 3, 1948 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Richard and Helen (Barber) Madding.

James worked as a route salesman for Central Cigar. He was a member of the Lawrence County Country Club, a former member of the Elks, and a participant of the State of Illinois Bird Count. Golf and bird watching were his passion.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include two brothers, Richard Madding of Ohio and Robert Madding of Wisconsin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM CST at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Lawrenceville/Red Hill Golf Team. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
