Irma Jean Williams

Irma Jean Williams, age 97, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on April 14, 1923 in Crawford County, Illinois, the daughter of Orman and Velma Highsmith. She married Hubert Lee Williams on June 29, 1941 and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2004.

Irma was a farmwife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vincennes, Indiana.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Hubert; two brothers, Randall Highsmith and J.D. Highsmith; three sisters, Barbara Graham, Lena Mae Battershell, and Maxine Locke; and one granddaughter, Abigail Rose Williams.

Survivors include four children, Sheila Kay Williams and husband, Fred, Dennis Lee Williams and wife, Brenda, Debbie Lynn Roberts and husband, Shindy, and David Lee Williams and wife, Michelle all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two sisters, Sharon Nieman and Vera Blankenbeker; six grandchildren, Jerrod Taylor, Justin Taylor, Amanda Harstad, Michael Williams, Jacob Williams, Logan Williams; and six great-grandchildren, Harlan Taylor, Lewis Taylor, Ivy Taylor, Grady Harstad, Gwyn Harstad, and Griffin Harstad.

Private graveside services will be conducted at the May Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
