Irma Kelley

Irma P. Kelley, 73, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at her residence. She was born July 28, 1943 in Billett, Illinois, the daughter of Ogle and Pearl (Theriac) Wagner. She married Danny J. Kelley on January 2, 1966 and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2012.   Irma received her associate's degree from Wabash Valley College. She was an activities director for a local nursing home and she owned and operated her own sewing business. She loved fishing and cooking and she was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to her God and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Irma; her son, David; her mother, Pearl; and her Uncle Don would gather for the holidays and special days at the home of Norman and Mary Jane. The family will always cherish these special times. Preceding Irma in death were her father; husband; son, David Kelley; and brother, Danny Ray Wagner. Survivors include her mother of Lawrenceville, Illinois; her daughter, Rebecca Berzinis and her husband, Benjamin of Mountain Home, Idaho; her sister, Mary Jane Kocher and her husband, Norman of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Benjamin Luke, Anna Grace, and Adam Matthew; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Irma's memory may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
