Harley E. Goff

Harley E. Goff, age 82, of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born February 23, 1942, the son of Gerald E. and Mary M. (Earnest) Goff. On October 20, 1963 he married Kathryn Radelle Hughes. and she survives.

Harley worked as a Maintenance Technician at Whitco Chemical/Pioneer Asphalt in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and also worked for Tom Fehrenbacher in Olney, Illinois. Harley served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he also received the Purple Heart. He and his wife loved square dancing and taught classes at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Illinois. He enjoyed woodworking and being with his family, teaching them how to do everything on the family land.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Jackie Goff; two sisters, Joan Rasico and Verna Heatherington; and one great-grandchild, Pipher LeAnne.

Along with his wife Radelle, he is survived by three children, LeAnne Goff and her wife, Stacy of Flat Rock, Illinois, Mike Goff and his wife, Amy of Flat Rock, Illinois, Lori Goff of Greenville, South Carolina, and an adopted daughter, Wanda Crowe and her husband, Eddie of Simpsonville, South Carolina. Also surviving are a brother, Sherman Goff and his wife, Katie of Lawrenceville, Illinois; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, July 15, 2024 at 1:30 PM CDT at the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
