Garry D Downing

Garry D. Downing, age 47, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Friday, April 02, 2021 at his residence. He was born on June 26, 1973 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Garry Dee and Eleonore (Radford) Harris.

Garry worked as a carpenter all of his life. He enjoyed doing crafts, woodworking, fishing, gardening, reading, and watching movies.

Preceding him in death was his father and one brother, James Patrick Downing.

Survivors include his mother, Eleonore Harris and husband, Fred of Boyd, Texas; three children, Hailey Talmage of Azle, Texas, Madison Tracy of Pinkstaff, Illinois, and Ethan Tracy of Robinson, Illinois; four siblings, Alicea Logan-Masters and husband, Tim of Hale Center, Texas, Jeffrey Harris and wife, Amy of Leonard, Texas, Eric Harris and wife, Heather of Pinkstaff, Illinois, and Tracy Harris and wife, Sheryl of Fort Worth, Texas; eight half siblings, Garry D. Harris II and wife, Ruth of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Michael Harris and wife, Allison of Millington, Illinois, Sarah Ardelean and husband, Jeff of St. Pete Beach, Florida, Gregory Harris and wife, Robin of Washington, Indiana, Jill Harris of Rowlett, Texas, Timothy Harris and wife, Paige of Coplay, Pennsylvania, Matthew Harris and wife, Jeri of Palestine, Illinois, and Lynette Harris of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and maternal grandmother, Klara Radford of Killeen, Texas.

A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, April 08, 2021 at 6:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and may be viewed with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 CDT at the funeral home.
