Fredda Ann Tarr

Fredda Ann Tarr, age 94, of Sumner, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her residence. She was born on January 15, 1927 in Bridgeport, Illinois, the daughter of Orlay and Emma Irene (Jones) Hawley. She married Charles W. Tarr on March 23, 1947, and he preceded her in death on December 01, 2015.

Fredda worked at the Shoe Factory in Olney, and during WWII, she worked in a bomb factory in Chicago. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, and in later years at the Sumner Congregational Christian Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; five brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include four children, Charles Tarr, Jr. and wife, Janet of Crocket, Texas, James Tarr and wife, Penny of Grand Junction, Colorado, Morris ‘Bud’ Tarr and wife, Deb of Tomball, Texas, and Deborah Fiscus and husband, Marvin of Sumner, Illinois; 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM CDT at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Sumner Congregational Christian Church.
