Dorothy Jeanette Lynch

Dorothy Jeanette Lynch, age 86, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Sunday, August 08, 2021 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on October 09, 1934 in Washington, Indiana, the only child of George and Opal (Spond) Wells.

Dorothy worked as the Deputy County Clerk at the Lawrenceville Courthouse, under Patricia O’Grady Conover. She also worked for the president of Jefferson Parish in Metairie, Louisiana and the president of the Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Missouri. She had attended the Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and several aunts.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM CDT at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
