Dorothy Ann (Cook) Theriac

Dorothy Ann (Cook) Theriac, age 87, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, July 02, 2023 at her residence. She was born on May 17, 1936 in Sumner, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil and Margaret (Brown) Cook. She married Oscar Theriac on June 25, 1954, and he preceded her in death on December 03, 1995.

Dorothy was a graduate of Lawrence Township High School, where she maintained high honors during all of her high school career. She served as the Lawrenceville City Clerk from 1997 until 2001. Prior to being elected as the City Clerk, she served as an Alderperson on the Lawrenceville City Council from 1995 until 1997. She loved the Lord. She attended the Otterbein United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Billett Community Church. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, sending cards to people, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.

Survivors include three children, Terry Lynn (Jules) Mominee of Evansville, Indiana, David Wayne (Diana) Theriac of Martinsville, Indiana, and Gary (Amy) Theriac of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Donald Gene Cook of Evansville, Indiana; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, July 08, 2023 at 11:00 AM CDT at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Billett Community Church. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
