Dorothy Jean Viehman

Dorothy Jean Viehman, age 94, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Bridgepointe Health Campus in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on September 20, 1927 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Harry Rudie and Ruth Elvira (Fee) Martin. She married C.C. Viehman, Jr. on April 01, 1945, and he preceded her in death on January 01, 2006.

Dorothy Jean was a homemaker and co-owner of Viehman Orchards. She also worked from her home for Golden Rule Insurance for 25 years. She was a member of May Chapel Church, where she was the organist and secretary for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Viehman and wife, Melinda of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one daughter, Susan Joice and husband, Mike of Florida; five grandchildren, Shanda Kasinger and husband, Willie, Ross Viehman, Faren Viehman, Jason Joice and wife, Beth, and Tiffany Lile; and six great-grandchildren, Zoey, Rocco, and Silas Joice and Dakota, Brooklyn, and Ashton Kasinger.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM CST at May Chapel Church. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM CST at the church. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to May Chapel Church.
