Denise E. Morris

Denise E. Morris, age 64, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Saturday, May 06, 2022 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on July 30, 1957 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Ralph E. Ward and Laura (Smither) Ward Martin. She married David Morris, and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2019.

Denise received her degree from Vincennes University. She was a medical coder with K-Force, and traveled all over the country with her work. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

Preceding her death were her parents and husband.

Survivors include two brothers, Ralph E. Ward II and wife, Gretchen of Harrodsburg, Kentucky and Ben Williams of Corydon, Indiana.

A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 6:00 PM CDT at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Illinois. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until the service hour of 6:00 PM at the church. The family extends an invitation to the dinner after the memorial service at the church. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
