David G James

David G. James, age 82, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Monday, January 04, 2021 at his residence. He was born on May 09, 1938 in Lake Orion, Michigan, the son of Charles L. and Iva (Shick) James. He married Betty Pinnick on January 02, 1958, and she survives.

David worked for Briggs Pottery in Robinson. His hobbies included fishing, camping, and being outdoors; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Charles James, Donald James, and Raymond James; and four sisters, Agatha Seed and husband, Frank, Betty Lafon and husband, Pat, Ann Plowman and husband, John, and Norma Akers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three daughters, Marcia Wilson and husband, Phillip of Bridgeport, Illinois, Brenda Spangler and husband, David of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Tonya Dixon and husband, Earl of Bridgeport, Illinois; one brother, Paul James and wife, Mary of Bridgeport, Illinois; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be conducted for the family. A public burial will be conducted on Wednesday, January 06, 2021 at 2:30 PM in the May Chapel Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
