Obituary

David J. Caudell, age 81, of Claremont, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois. He was born on April 29, 1940 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Wendell and Geraldine (Mowrer) Caudell. He married Barbara Fritchley on February 11, 1962, and she survives.

David was a lifelong farmer and a member of the National Guard. His hobbies included mushroom hunting, eating out, and spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Kim Inyart and husband, Tony and Lori Caudell all of Sumner, Illinois; one brother, Loy Caudell and wife, Ramona of Calhoun, Illinois; one sister, Carol Ann Moore and husband, Keith of Sumner, Illinois; two grandsons, Clint Inyart and Colby Inyart and wife, Katie; and the anticipated arrival of a great-grandchild.

No formal services will be conducted. Memorial donations may be made to Lawrence County Humane Society. Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
