Brenda "Suzy" Shidler
Obituary
Suzy Shidler, age 71, of Sumner, Illinois passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born March 23, 1951 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Dewey Lewis and Margie Nell (Harlan) Shick. She married Victor E. Shidler on November 28, 1986, and he survives.
Suzy worked as a beautician. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a stillborn daughter, Shannon Marie Shidler.
Along with her husband Victor, she is survived by a daughter, Michelle Adams of Sullivan, Indiana; two brothers, Charles “Butch” Shick of Lawrenceville, Illinois and John Shick and his wife, Pam of Sumner, Illinois; one sister, JoAnn Boren of Allendale, Illinois; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a time of gathering for family and friends Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 4:00 until 6:00pm at the Sivert-Macey Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois
