Brenda Sue Sullivan

Brenda Sue Sullivan, age 63, of Veedersburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born on August 19, 1958 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin Coy and Thelma (Glover) Coy. She married David Sullivan, Sr. on October 30, 1973, and he survives.

Brenda worked as a cashier at Trojan Mart in Covington, Indiana for many years. She was a stay-at-home mom and a caregiver to many.  She attended Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Brenda enjoyed spending time with and taking pictures of her grandchildren, genealogy, reading books, and watching the Golden Girls.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Alvin Coy, David Coy, Richard Coy and Benjamin Coy; and one sister, Betty Sullivan/Coy.

Surviving along with her husband, David, are three children, David Bruce Sullivan, Jr. of Veedersburg, Indiana, Leslie Lee Nixon (Royce) of Veedersburg, Indiana, and Tammy Jean Hendrickson of Danville, Illinois; one sister, Vera Piper of Bridgeport, Illinois; twelve grandchildren, Bailey, Skye’, Kailey, Kayla, Kole, Codey, Danyelle, Kaden, Aaron, Talan, Kylee, and Kynleigh; and five great-grandchildren, Jaidyn, Maddox, Runa, Kasen and Emerson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. CST until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
