Betty DeBoeuf Obituary

Betty J. DeBoeuf, age 91, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, a former St. Francisville, resident passed away on Monday, September 07, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on February 22, 1929 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Jeanne (Bell) Fouts.

Betty was a receptionist for Emison, Doolittle, & Kolb Law Firm in Vincennes. She also worked for Golden Rule for four years and the Lawrence County Senior Citizens in Bridgeport for seven years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. She enjoyed making blankets for Project Linus, as well as doing crafts, crocheting, sewing, and doing things for her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Jim Fouts, Perry Fouts, John Fouts, Bob Fouts, and Charles Fouts; two sisters, Anita Brown and Judy Ivers; and one great-granddaughter, Rachel Ann Guinn.

Survivors include her five children, Kathy Cox and husband, Jim of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Becky Mallory and significant other, Jeff Gochenour of Allendale, Illinois, Elizabeth Lewis and husband, Rick of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Theresa Dixon and husband, Phillip of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Tim DeBoeuf and wife, Tammy of Bicknell, Indiana; one brother, Keith Fouts and wife, Carol of Princeton, Indiana; one sister, Joann Goodwin of Lawrenceville, Illinois; 12 grandchildren, Mark Johnson, Travis Johnson and wife, Monica, Brianna Cox, Andrew Dixon and wife, Christian, Kyle Mallory and wife, Christine, Nick Mallory and wife, Lisseth, Jessica Guinn and husband, Brandon, Michael Lewis and wife, Kristen, Andrew Lewis, Patrick Lewis, Cody DeBoeuf and wife, Kristi, and Tyler DeBoeuf; 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois, which may be found with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/Emmons-Macey-Steffey-Funeral-Home-Burial-Cremation-Services-241234759332208/. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM CST at the funeral home. The family requests that face masks be worn and social distancing be maintained. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society or the Lawrence County Senior Citizens.
