Betty S. Bartle

Betty S. Bartle, age 84, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Bridgepointe Health Campus in Vincennes, Indiana.  She was born January 31, 1940 in Duff, Tennessee, the daughter of Lloyd and Louetta (Smitty) Lester. She married Eugene Bartle February 12, 1960, and he preceded her in death May 01, 2019.

Betty worked for Golden Rule Insurance Company. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, but most of all she enjoyed being a homemaker and a mother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one sister, Joyce Goodrich; and one great-grandchild, Eden Kay Gough.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly Kaye (Douglas) Hatton of Vincennes, Indiana, LaDonna Jean (Douglas) Cardinal of Bruceville, Indiana, and Lloyd Dale Bartle of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Heather (Neal) Gough, Dustin (Cora) Hatton, and Nathan Hatton; as well as four great-grandchildren, Camden, Grace, Dane and Duke.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and may be viewed with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey . Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. CDT until the service of 1:00 p.m. CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
