Anna Louise "Doodle" Diver

Anna Louise “Doodle” Diver, 97, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the United Methodist Village North Campus in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

She was born April 30, 1922 in St. Francisville, Illinois the daughter of Thomas A. and Louisa (Sumner) Diver.

She was a graduate of Lawrence Township High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marion University in Indianapolis, Indiana, Masters from Catholic University in Washington, DC, and did Post Grad work at the University of Minnesota and Baylor University. She worked as a field representative for the Navy Relief Society. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was a member of the Lawrence County Historical Society and the Lawrence County Arts Council.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Tom, Joe and Patrick Diver, sisters: Ruth Diver, Dorothy Whitmarsh, Mary Curts, Virginia Mullin and Joan Childress and 7 nieces and nephews.

Surviving are one sister: Gerry Cannon of Lawrenceville, Illinois and 23 nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to the United Methodist Village North Campus Courtyard Project or to the donor’s choice.
