Anna Dee Collins

Anna Dee Collins, 75, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at her home. She was born November 21, 1939, in Lawrenceville, IL, the daughter of Claude Abnor and Berniedean Arora (Cornwell) Baker. Anna worked at Horton's Eastside Market in Lawrenceville, IL while working night shift at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital as LPN. She then taught at Head Start and worked in grocery. She worked 36 years at the Embarrass River Basin Agency. She had also worked for Dr. Gus Schmidt, Dr. Bill Schmidt and Dr. Icknan in Robinson, IL. Preceding Anna in death were her parents, a brother Samuel Baker and a sister, Mary Stice. Anna is survived by her children: Shirley Ann Riddle (Terry) of Branson, MO, Ricky Don Collins (Lisa) of Vincennes, IN, Nancy Dee Faith of Lawrenceville, Pamela Kay Stevenson (Nub) of Bridgeport, Gina Lynn Stevenson (Jay) of Lawrenceville; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. Memorial Donations may be given to Good Samaritan Hospice. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
