Amelia Bartle, 95, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Lawrence Community Healthcare Center in Bridgeport, IL.She was born June 23, 1913 in Carlyle, IL to Henry and Elizabeth Maibaum. She married Hershel Dale Bartle on May 2, 1937 in Carlyle, IL and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1998.Amelia was a member of First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville and a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bridgeport.Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Betty Bartle of Lawrenceville, IL; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Jim Worstell of Bridgeport, IL; six grandchildren, Kim Bartle Hatton of Bruceville, IN, Robin Worstell Renfroe of Chester, IL, Donna Bartle Cardinal of Bicknell, IN, Dale Bartle of Bridgeport, IL, Mark Worstell of Sumner, IL and Dan Worstell of Chandler, IN; ten great-grandchildren, Heather Hatton Petts, Randy Renfroe, Nathan Hatton, Dustin Hatton, Abigail Worstell, Victoria Worstell, Colton Worstell, Matthew Renfroe, Peyton Worstell and Jonathon Renfroe;. One niece and two great-nieces also survive.Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter, Elizabeth Renfroe, two sisters and two brothers.The funeral will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Claremont, IL.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Carmi, IL.
