Zelma B. Marks

Zelma B. Marks, age 82, of Bridgeport, IL (formerly of Sumner), passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. She was born March 17, 1930, the daughter of Carmen and Berniece (Turpen) Schaich. Zelma married Stuart C. Marks on December 25, 1949, and he passed away January 14, 2012. Zelma was a homemaker. She worked at Pine Lawn as an aide. She also worked as a clerk at Hucks in Lawrenceville. Zelma attended the Assembly of God Church in Bridgeport. Preceding Zelma in death were her parents, her husband Stuart, and one son Barry. Survivors include two sons Raymond (Sharon) Eads of Claremont, IL and Herbert (Barbara) Marks of Falmouth, KY; two daughters Tamara (Tim) Dupont of Newport, New Hampshire and Stephanie (Mark) Ruppel of Lawrenceville and one sister Pauline Schaich of Olney, IL. Seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be Saturday February 9, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 until the service hour of 2:00pm at the funeral home.
