William Jeff Trickett

William Jeff Trickett, age 74, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1943 in Amboy, Illinois, the son of William Jefferson and Virginia Griffith Trickett. He married Nancy Lee Jensen on March 20, 1968, and she survives. Jeff was a teacher for Lawrenceville High School. He taught biology, health, and physical education. He coached wrestling, basketball, baseball, football, and golf. He was a member of Lambda Chi of Iowa Wesleyan University, the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Elks Club 1208. He also served Lawrence Township as a Trustee. Preceding Jeff in death were his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Nancy; two sons, Brian Blu Trickett of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Brad Jeffrey Trickett and wife, Amy, of Sherwood, Arkansas; one brother, Jerry Trickett and wife, Kathy, of Marengo, Illinois; two sisters, Jeannie Kelly and husband, Mike, of Princeton, Illinois and Judi Prentice of Parker, Colorado; and several nieces and their spouses, Kim (Kurt) Dall of Rochelle, Illinois, Jodi (Sean) Baron of Princeton, Illinois, Susan (Mark) Brady of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer Prentice of Denver, Colorado, Sarah (Kurt) Trickett-Stuart of Los Angeles, California, and Jennifer (Chris) Trickett-Ligocki of Marengo, Illinois. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. CST. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to LCAEC, Illinois Special Olympics, or Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
