William Dennis Cavender

William Dennis Cavender, 81, of Lawrenceville, Il passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Born November 23, 1932 in Marion County, IN he was the son of Armand Tevis Cavender and Irene (Bates) Sampson. On September 29, 1957 he married Marilyn Patton. She survives. He worked for AT&T as an installer. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion. Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons: Steve and his wife Mary Cavender of Lawrenceville, IL, Mike and his wife Sherry Cavender of Olney, IL, a daughter: Sherry Cavender of Lawrenceville, IL, a brother: Ralph Cavender of Seattle, WA, and two grandsons: Zac and Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. There are no formal services. His wishes were to be cremated. Memorial donations may be given to Relay for Life.
