Wenona L. Griffin, age 85, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on January 17, 1936, in Russellville, Illinois, the daughter of Marvin and Ida Lenora (Wirey) Johnson. She married Maurice ‘Speck’ Griffin on October 07, 1953, and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1996.
Wenona was an Avon Representative for 50 years. She loved her customers and enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two brothers, William O. Johnson and Marvin W. Johnson; and one son, Jerry Wayne Griffin.
Survivors include three children, Jim Griffin and wife, Patti of Flat Rock, Illinois, Donna Rodgers of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Peggy Griffin of Cowden, Illinois; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Private services will be conducted. Memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
