Walter Ray Mcclure

Walter Ray McClure, age 85, of rural St. Francisville, IL passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1927 in Lawrence County, Illinois the son of Sidney Kyle and Alvina Marie (Ackman) McClure. He married Veronika Krutilla, October 14, 1950 and she survives. Walter worked as an iron worker for Terre Haute Local 439 until retirement. He also worked as a farmer, had worked at Marathon Oil and in construction. He was a member of Billett United Methodist Church. Walter was an Army veteran. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Donald Eugene McClure. Survivors include his wife Veronika of rural St. Francisville,IL two sons Robert Kyle McClure of Whiting, IN and Martin Thomas McClure of Billett, IL; two daughters Kathleen Ann Roberts and Patricia Jo Gaiter both of rural Flat Rock, IL; one brother Sydney Kyle McClure of Billett, IL; one sister Doris Mae Robinson of Oakridge, TN; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in Lawrenceville City Cemetery with full military rites by the American Legion & VFW.
