Wade Jaron Lackey

Wade Jaron Lackey, age 22, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born on August 10, 2001 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Jason S. Lackey and Amanda (Holcomb) Lackey.

Wade worked at Midwest Auto Supply and McClure Farms. He was a good mechanic, had a heart of gold, and was fun loving. He enjoyed being with his friends, camping, being outdoors, sitting by the fire, being on the river, playing video games, and watching UFC.

Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Dickie Smith; maternal grandfather, Vance Pinkstaff; and Clifton Blake Pinkstaff.

Survivors include his parents, Jason Lackey and Jamie of Washington, Indiana, Amanda Lackey of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Clifton Pinkstaff; one brother, Samuel Pryce Lackey of Washington, Indiana; one sister, Mary Pinkstaff of Lawrenceville, Illinois; paternal grandparents, Rory W. Lackey and wife, Lisa of Maurepas, Louisiana and Donna Ruth Smith of Baker, Louisiana; maternal grandparents, John Holcomb and wife, Jan of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Bert Pinkstaff of Russellville, Illinois; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
