Virginia Alene Pool. 94, of Danville, IL (formerly of Sumner, IL) passed away Monday June 22, 2009 at North Logan Health Care Center in Danville, IL.She was born September 25, 1914 in Olney, IL the daughter of George and Gladys (Berry) Warren. On july 17, 1932 she married she married Stanley Pool. He preceded her in death in 2000.She is survived by 2 sons: David and his wife Deanna Pool of Lee's Summit, MO, Dennis and his wife Tatyana Pool of Shingletown, CA, a daughter: Jan and her husband Larry Voorhees of Danville, IL, a brother: George and wife Terry Warren of Mt. Carmel, IL, a sister: Marilyn Boland of Seattle, WA, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.Virginia was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was active member of the Sumner United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and United Methodist Women. She was an avid Cub fan, Illini fan, loved to read, and enjoyed their 17 winters in Florida.The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00pm at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Sumner Cemetery. Visitation is also Thursday from 1:00 until the service hour of 2:00pm.
