Virginia R. Alford

Virginia R. Alford, age 82, of Vincennes, IN (formerly of Lawrence County) passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born October 21, 1929 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of David Clarence and Elizabeth Jane (Carroll) Finley. She married Robert "Ray" Alford on May 3, 1946, and he survives. Virginia worked as a beautician and as a supervisor for a market research company in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include her husband "Ray" of Vincennes, IN, one son Robert R. Alford, Jr. and wife Joyce, of Patoka, IN, one sister Edna Over of Dunkirk, IN, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Private graveside services were conducted with burial in May Chapel Cemetery.
