Violet Emma Victoria (Rhinehart) Clark, 105, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 14, at Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice in Vincennes, Indiana. Born September 2, 1910, in Ross County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Arthur T. and Jannie Z. (Cockrell) Rhinehart. She married Dale Clark on April 19, 1930 and he preceded her in death in August of 1961. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Sandra Clark; sisters, Essie Moody, Elizabeth Moore, Thelma Pond and Viola Rhinehart; brothers, Elmer Rhinehart, Forrest Rhinehart, Arthur Rhinehart, Weldon Rhinehart, Randolph Rhinehart and John Albert Rhinehart; and a grandson, Steven Hensley. She attended St. Francisville schools and began doing housework and taking care of children from the time she was 12. Violet then worked at the A&P store with her husband and later worked at the Key Market after he died. Violet is survived by her daughter, Shirley Hensley, of Lawrenceville; a son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Betty Clark, Findlay, Ohio; four grandchildren and spouses, Jo Dale and Kevin Brown, Lawrenceville; Mark Clark, Findlay, Ohio; Shannon and Cathy Clark, Findlay, Ohio and Beth and Ron Opperman, Findlay, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren and spouses, Joshua and Marci Brown, Robinson; Jordan and Niki Brown, Lawrenceville; Justin and Misty Brown, Lawrenceville; Jeremy and Lisa Brown, Bridgeport; Rebecca Clark, Michael Clark, Logan Opperman and Lucas Opperman, all of Findlay, Ohio; and eight great-great grandchildren, Treyton, Graysen and Maryn Brown of Robinson; Karsyn Brown, Jase Brown and Hailey Ralph of Lawrenceville and Addison Miller and Alexis Brown of Bridgeport; and another great-great grandson due in November. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 18 at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be 5:00 PM-8:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, St. Francisville.
