Victor V. Volkman

Victor V. "Vince" Volkman, 77, of Lawrenceville passed away Tuesday June 16, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.He was born December 21, 1931 the son of William John and Jo Anna (Koontz) Volkman. He was married September of 1950 to Patty Condiff. She survives.Vince worked as a mechanic at Sheehan Pipeline. He was a member of the Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church. He served in the National Guard.Along with his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Victor and Patricia Volkman of Lawrenceville, IL, Roger and Rita Volkman of Chauncey, IL, a daughter: Veronica and Jerry Kirkwood of Lawrenceville, IL, 2 brothers: Roy and Isabell Volkman of Lawrenceville, IL, Richard and Mary Volkman of Georgia, a sister: Dorothy Ralston of Lawrenceville, IL, 9 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. 3 brothers, 2 sisters and a grandson Bradley Volkman are deceased.The funeral will be Friday at 10:30am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be given to the Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church.
