Victor L. Harrington, Sr.

Victor L. Harrington, Sr., 76, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1940 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of William Tommy, Sr. and Frances Agnes (Richards) Harrington. He worked at the Vincennes Paper Mill and was a commercial fisherman. Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Michael Wayne Harrington; five brothers, Robert Harrington, Donald Harrington, Ronald Harrington, Delbert Harrington, and Tommy Harrington; five sisters, Twyla Lorance, Opal Hopkins, Mary Lucille Harrington, Hazel Joan Harrington, and Zola Marie Harrington; and one grandson, Derek Harrington. Survivors include his two sons, Victor Harrington, Jr. and wife, Pam of Longview, Texas and Jimmy Harrington and Susan Fleck of Newark, Delaware; one daughter, Janice Burton and husband, Gregory, of Bedford, Indiana; eight sisters, Doris McDaniel of Paris, Illinois, Sheila Neely of Manchester, Tennessee, Karen Wilson of Paris, Illinois, Martha Burris of Danville, Illinois, Beulah Morris of Shelburn, Indiana, Nila McGuire of Robinson, Illinois, Cheryl Spangler of Manchester, Tennessee, and Frances Morse of Elizabethtown, Illinois; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Price Cemetery.
