Vici J. Mahaffey

Vici J. Mahaffey, age 53, of rural Lawrenceville passed away January 21, 2011 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born January 7, 1958 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Victor and Lois J. (Wright) Anderson.Vici was a Pre-Admit Testing RN at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She worked in the field of nursing for 30+ years. She was a member of the St. James AME Church in Lawrenceville.Survivors include her father and mother Victor and Lois Anderson of rural Lawrenceville; her husband Ronald Mahaffey of rural Lawrenceville; two brothers John Anderson and wife Martha of Vincennes, IN and Scott Anderson and wife Darla of Lawrenceville; one sister Tina Neeley and husband Don of rural Lawrenceville; three nephews Austin Wanke, John Anderson and Jacob Anderson; four nieces Megan Neeley, Morgan Stricklin and husband Rob, Haley Wanke and Janine Anderson; and two great-nephews Harlan Taylor and Brody Stricklin.Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Portee Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Honor Guard Program with envelopes available through the funeral home.
