Veronika Mcclure

Veronika "Vera" McClure, age 82, of rural St. Francisville passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. She was born January 8, 1931 in Whiting, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Szabo) Krutilla. She married Walter McClure on October 16, 1950, and he passed away May 2, 2012. Vera retired from Lawrence County Memorial Hospital where she worked as a Ward Secretary for many years. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Preceding Vera in death were her parents, her husband Walter, one brother Joey Krutilla, one sister Mary Szucs, and one great-grandchild. Survivors include two sons Robert Kyle McClure (Carol) of Whiting, Indiana and Martin Thomas McClure of Billett, Illinois; two daughters Kathleen Ann Roberts (Tom) of rural Flat Rock, Illinois and Patricia Jo Gaiter (Bob) also of rural Flat Rock, Illinois; one sister Margaret Ackman of Bridgeport, Illinois; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital with envelopes available through the funeral home.
