Verna Ailene Seitzinger

Verna Ailene Seitzinger, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her home. She was born on March 2, 1935, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Willard B. and Edith (Haycock) Seward. She married Jack Seitzinger on October 19, 1952, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2017.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Jean Morey and husband, Max; a brother, Billy ‘Buck’ Seward and wife, Judy; and a granddaughter, Jenny Ann Seitzinger.

Survivors include a son, Michael Seitzinger and wife, Susan; three daughters Janet Schock and husband, Greg, Joni Paris and husband, Greg, and Lisa Croslow and husband, Dan; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no formal services conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
