Velta Jean Mcclaskey Schultz

Velta Jean McClaskey Schultz age 77 of rural Sumner,Illinois died Friday, March 02, 2012 at her residence. She was born January 30, 1935 in Lawrenceville,Illinois the daughter of Earl McClaskey and Evangelean Waggoner McClaskey, and a step father Paul Keith Rogers. She married Alvin V. Schultz on January 17, 1953 and he preceded her in death April 16,1988. Velta retired from Golden Rule Insurance with 30 plus years of service. She was a 1953 Lawrencville High School Graduate. Surviving are three sons Paul (Kay) Schultz of German Valley,Illinois, Jeffery (Sharon) Schultz of Lawrenceville,Ill., Kenneth Schultz of Sumner,Il. Five grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, one sister Vonda Shilder, two brothers J.D. Mcclaskey and Marvin McClaskey, and a special friend Mac Montgomery. Graveside services will be Tuesday morning 10:00 a.m. at the Sumner City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sumner City Cemetery.
